MY STORY

I'm a hopeful romantic and unrecovering chocoholic, who believes in the power of destiny and undeniable coincidence. Writing, art, calligraphy, color guard, good stories, random acts of kindness, and the grace of a new day make my heart beat a little faster.

I live in Missouri with my drop-dead gorgeous husband and hilarious son. I graduated from Lindenwood University with a B.A. in Spanish and a M.A. in Education with the full intention of teaching high school Spanish. I got all the way through the program until it was time to student-teach. I quickly realized that it was not going to be for me. Knowing what you want out of life, and how you can use your gifts in the right places is harder than it looks.

After a terrifying near-death experience, and an unmistakably powerful vision, I started to write. Writing was something I always did as a child, and even into my adulthood. I composed my teaching philosophy in the format of a poem of all things. But this time it felt like I had finally figured out where my energy should have been going all along. I wrote for me, but I loved the story so much...I thought I just might share it.
